These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the PLCPro Academy mobile application (“the App”), developed and operated by AS Automation Services & AS Automation Systems Training Centre PLT (“ASAS MY”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1 About PLCPro Academy
PLCPro Academy is a mobile learning platform for industrial automation, covering PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), HMI (Human Machine Interface), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) technologies.
The App provides:
- □ Structured lessons & quizzes across 8 PLC brands: Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider, Keyence, WEG, and Fuji
- □ PLC & HMI model reference databases with detailed specifications
- □ Programming guides covering ladder logic, structured text, function blocks, and more
- □️ Hardware & software troubleshooting guides
- □ Video tutorials (YouTube-linked) for hands-on learning
- □ Software Install Assist — a storefront for purchasing PLC/HMI software installation services and video courses
- □ Suppliers & Shops directory — curated list of PLC/HMI suppliers in Malaysia, Singapore, and globally (Premium feature)
- □ Achievement badges & learning streaks to gamify your learning journey
- □ Bookmarks to save lessons, guides, and references for quick access
- □ Bilingual support — English and Bahasa Malaysia
2 User Accounts & Identity
PLCPro Academy does not require user registration or login. Instead:
- A random, anonymous Device ID (UUID) is generated on first launch
- This Device ID is used to sync your progress, bookmarks, and subscription status
- No personal information (name, email, phone) is collected
- Each device has its own independent identity and progress
Important: If you uninstall the App or clear app data, your Device ID and all local progress (lessons, quizzes, badges, streaks, bookmarks) will be permanently lost and cannot be recovered.
3 Free Tier & Premium Subscription
3.1 Free Tier
All users can access the App for free with the following features:
- Basic lessons and quizzes across all 8 PLC brands
- PLC and HMI model reference databases
- Programming guides and troubleshooting guides (hardware & software)
- Video tutorials (YouTube-linked)
- Learning streaks and badge achievements
- Bookmarks
- Advertisements are displayed (interstitial and banner ads)
3.2 Premium Tier
Premium subscribers enjoy the following additional benefits:
- ✅ Ad-free experience — all interstitial and banner advertisements are completely removed
- ✅ Unlock all Advanced lessons & quizzes across every brand
- ✅ Full access to Suppliers & Shops directory (MY □□ / SG □□ / Global □)
- ✅ 50% OFF all Install items (Software + Video Courses) — Annual plan only

3.3 Badge Rewards
Users who complete all badges within a category earn +1 month of free premium as a reward. Badge categories include:

- □ Streak Milestones (4 badges)
- □ Brand Exploration (4 badges)
- ✨ Special Achievements (2 badges)
Premium time from badge rewards is added automatically and stacks with any existing subscription.
3.4 Subscription Management
- Premium subscriptions are tied to your anonymous Device ID
- Subscriptions do not auto-renew — you must manually renew when your plan expires
- Payments are processed through external platforms (Shopee / WhatsApp direct) — the App does not process or store any payment information
- Premium activation is performed by ASAS MY after payment confirmation
4 Software Install Assist (Store)
4.1 Overview
The App features a Software Install Assist section (the “Store”) where users can browse and purchase PLC/HMI programming software installation services and video courses offered by ASAS MY.
4.2 How It Works
- Products are listed with descriptions, pricing, and purchase links
- Purchases are completed through external platforms (Shopee store or WhatsApp direct)
- After payment, users provide their email address (1 email = 1 user access) for download link delivery
- Software is delivered via PCloud (password-protected download links)
4.3 Installation Methods
Two installation options are available for most software products:
- DIY (Do-It-Yourself) — download and install yourself using the provided video setup guide
- Install Assist (Remote Support) — ASAS MY technical specialist assists you via AnyDesk/Microsoft Teams to check system compatibility and perform the installation
4.4 System Requirements
Each software product has specific system requirements listed in its description. Customers are required to verify their system meets the requirements before purchasing. ASAS MY recommends contacting us via WhatsApp before ordering if you are unsure about compatibility.
No Refunds: All software purchases are final and non-refundable once the download link is delivered. Software is tested and verified to work. Any issues after delivery are considered system-related. Buyers must use a personal PC/laptop with full administrator rights (no company-managed devices).
4.5 Software Usage Disclaimer
- All software sold through the Store is recommended for personal or student use only
- Any misuse of the software is solely the buyer’s responsibility; the seller holds no liability
- Software is tested annually and verified to work, supported by video evidence
- ASAS MY is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original software manufacturers
5 Educational Content
5.1 Accuracy & Disclaimer
All educational content in PLCPro Academy (lessons, quizzes, guides, troubleshooting data, model specifications) is provided “as is” for educational purposes only.
- Content is based on publicly available technical documentation and our professional experience
- We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free
- Content should not be used as a sole reference for safety-critical industrial systems
- Always refer to official manufacturer documentation for production or safety-critical applications
5.2 Brand References
PLCPro Academy references the following brands for educational purposes: Siemens, Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation), Mitsubishi Electric, Omron, Schneider Electric, Keyence, WEG, and Fuji Electric. All brand names, trademarks, and logos are the property of their respective owners. PLCPro Academy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies.
6 Acceptable Use
By using the App, you agree to:
- Use the App for lawful purposes only
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
- Not attempt to circumvent premium features or ad display mechanisms
- Not use automated bots, scrapers, or similar tools to extract content from the App
- Not redistribute, copy, or resell any content, lessons, quizzes, or guides from the App
- Not impersonate ASAS MY or misrepresent your affiliation with us
7 Intellectual Property
- All original content in the App (lessons, quizzes, guides, troubleshooting data, UI design, graphics) is the intellectual property of ASAS MY
- The PLCPro Academy name, logo, and branding are owned by ASAS MY
- Third-party brand names and trademarks mentioned in educational content belong to their respective owners
- Product images in the Store section may be sourced from external platforms (e.g., Shopee) and belong to their respective owners
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any App content without written permission
8 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind
- ASAS MY shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App
- ASAS MY is not liable for any data loss resulting from device changes, app uninstallation, or technical issues
- ASAS MY is not liable for any damages or losses resulting from the use of software purchased through the Store
- ASAS MY is not responsible for third-party content, websites, or services linked from the App (including YouTube, Shopee, WhatsApp)
- Educational content is not a substitute for professional engineering advice or official manufacturer documentation
9 Third-Party Links & Services
The App contains links to external websites and services, including:
- YouTube — for video course playback
- Shopee — for software product purchases
- WhatsApp — for customer support and purchase inquiries
- PCloud — for software download delivery
- AnyDesk / Microsoft Teams — for remote installation assistance
These third-party services have their own terms of service and privacy policies. ASAS MY is not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of these external services.
10 App Updates & Availability
- We may release updates to the App from time to time, which may add, modify, or remove features
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without prior notice
- We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App
- Content (lessons, quizzes, guides) may be updated, added, or removed at our discretion
11 Termination
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the App for any device that violates these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your access to premium features (if applicable) will be revoked
- No refund will be issued for any remaining premium subscription period
- Your local data remains on your device unless you uninstall the App
12 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia.
13 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
